RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To explore the relationship between the percentage of energy intake from macronutrients and obesity in Chinese adult residents, and analyze the cut-off values of macronutrients for predicting obesity. METHODS: Data was collected in China Health and Nutrition Survey(CHNS)in 1991-2018. Adults who participated in at least two waves of the surveys and were not obese at baseline were selected as the study subjects. Obesity was defined as body mass index(BMI)≥28.0 kg/m~2. Generalized estimating equation was used to analyze the relationship between the percentage of energy intake from macronutrients and BMI and obesity, and receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC) was used to analyze the cut-off values of percentage of energy intake from macronutrients to predict obesity. RESULTS: The percentage of energy intake from protein and fat of adult residents in 15 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities) in China showed an increasing trend(P<0.01), and the percentage of energy intake from carbohydrate showed a decreasing trend(P<0.01) between 1991 and 2018. After adjusting for covariates, the group of percentage of energy intake from fat in 20%~30%(ß=0.05, 95%CI 0.01-0.08)and ≥30%(ß=0.15, 95%CI 0.11-0.18)were positively correlated with BMI compared with the group of percentage of energy intake from fat <20%, and the risk of obesity in 20%-30% and ≥ 30% was increased by 17%(OR=1.17, 95%CI 1.04-1.31)and 6%(OR=1.06, 95%CI 1.24-1.56), respectively. Compared with the group of the percentage of energy intake from carbohydrate < 50%, the group of 50% to 65%(ß=-0.08, 95% CI-0.11--0.05) and ≥ 65%(ß=-0.17, 95%CI-0.20--0.13) was negatively correlated with BMI, and the percentage of energy intake from carbohydrate ≥ 65% reduced the risk of obesity(OR=0.71, 95%CI 0.63-0.80). CONCLUSION: Carbohydrate intake was inversely correlated with the risk of obesity, and fat intake was positively correlated with the risk of obesity. Moderate intake of carbohydrates and reduced fat intake can prevent obesity.

RESUMO

The impact of external factors on the human gut microbiota and how gut microbes contribute to human health is an intriguing question. Here, the gut microbiome of 3,224 individuals (496 with serum metabolome) with 109 variables is studied. Multiple analyses reveal that geographic factors explain the greatest variance of the gut microbiome and the similarity of individuals' gut microbiome is negatively correlated with their geographic distance. Main food components are the most important factors that mediate the impact of host habitats on the gut microbiome. Diet and gut microbes collaboratively contribute to the variation of serum metabolites, and correlate to the increase or decrease of certain clinical indexes. Specifically, systolic blood pressure is lowered by vegetable oil through increasing the abundance of Blautia and reducing the serum level of 1-palmitoyl-2-palmitoleoyl-GPC (16:0/16:1), but it is reduced by fruit intake through increasing the serum level of Blautia improved threonate. Besides, aging-related clinical indexes are also closely correlated with the variation of gut microbes and serum metabolites. In this study, the linkages of geographic locations, diet, the gut microbiome, serum metabolites, and physiological indexes in a Chinese population are characterized. It is proved again that gut microbes and their metabolites are important media for external factors to affect human health.

RESUMO

To investigate the prospective relationship between macronutrient intake and overweight/obesity, data were collected in the China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS) from 1991 to 2018. Adults who participated in at least two waves of the survey and were not obese at baseline were selected as the study subjects. A total of 14,531 subjects were finally included with complete data. Overweight/obesity was defined as a body mass index (BMI) ≥ 24.0 kg/m2. The generalized estimating equation (GEE) was used to analyze the relationship between the percentage of energy intake from macronutrients and BMI and overweight/obesity. The percentages of energy intake from protein and fat showed an increasing trend (p < 0.01), and the percentage of energy intake from carbohydrate showed a decreasing trend (p < 0.01) among Chinese adults between 1991 and 2018. Adjusting for covariates, the energy intake from fat was positively correlated with BMI, while the energy intake from carbohydrates was negatively correlated with BMI. The percentage of energy intake from non-high-quality protein and polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) were positively correlated with overweight/obesity. In contrast, monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) and high-quality carbohydrates were negatively correlated with overweight/obesity. In short, fat, non-high-quality protein, saturated fatty acids (SFA), and PUFA were positively correlated with the risk of obesity, whereas higher carbohydrate, MUFA, and high-quality carbohydrate intake were associated with a lower risk of obesity. Obesity can be effectively prevented by appropriately adjusting the proportion of intake from the three major macronutrients.

RESUMO

Acute respiratory tract infections (ARTI) are caused by respiratory pathogens and range from asymptomatic infections to severe respiratory diseases. These diseases can be life threatening with high morbidity and mortality worldwide. Under the pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), little has been reported about the pathogen etiologies and epidemiology of patients suffering from ARTI of all age in Xiamen. Region-specific surveillance in individuals with ARTI of all ages was performed in Xiamen from January 2020 to October 2022. Here, we observed the epidemiological characteristics of thirteen pathogens within ARTI patients and further revealed the difference of that between upper respiratory tract infections (URTI) and lower respiratory tract infections (LRTI). In total 56.36 % (2358/4184) of the ARTI patients were positive for at least one respiratory pathogen. Rhinovirus (RVs, 29.22 %), influenza A (FluA, 19.59 %), respiratory syncytial virus (RSV, 18.36 %), metapneumovirus (MPV, 13.91 %), and adenovirus (ADV, 10.31 %) were the five leading respiratory pathogens. Respiratory pathogens displayed age- and season-specific patterns, even between URTI and LRTI. Compared with other groups, a higher proportion of FluA (52.17 % and 68.75 %, respectively) infection was found in the adult group and the elder group, while the lower proportion of RVs (14.11 % and 11.11 %) infection was also observed in them. Although ARTI cases circulated throughout the year, RVs, FluB, and BoV peaked in autumn, and FluA circulated more in summer. Besides, the co-infectious rate was 8.7 % with the most common for RVs. Logistic regression analyses revealed the correlations between respiratory pathogens and disease types. These results are essential for replenishing epidemiological characteristics of common respiratory pathogens that caused ARTI in Xiamen during the epidemic of COVID-19, and a better understanding of it might optimize the local prevention and clinical control.

RESUMO

Chiral recognition of amino acid plays a significant role in pharmaceutical, medical, and food science. This study describes a chiral sensing system of ß-cyclodextrin (ß-CD)-coated sulfur quantum dots (CD-SQDs) for the selective fluorescence recognition of tryptophan (Trp) enantiomers. CD-SQDs were prepared by a facile assembly fission method and could selectively recognize L-Trp by the different binding ability between L/D-Trp and ß-CD. The inclusion of L-Trp and the stereoselective catalysis of CD-SQDs enzyme mimics cause the increased fluorescence intensity of CD-SQDs, which has a linear response ranging from 10 to 500 nM and the detection limit as 2.3 nM. CD-SQDs also show great selectivity for L-Trp from the commercial compound amino acid injection. The study could provide an effective method for the chiral recognition of amino acid enantiomers based on the catalytic activity of nanoenzymes.

RESUMO

Arthrobacter ureafaciens DnL1-1 is a bacterium used for atrazine degradation, while Trichoderma harzianum LTR-2 is a widely used biocontrol fungus. In this study, a liquid co-cultivation of these two organisms was initially tested. The significant changes in the metabolome of fermentation liquors were investigated based on cultivation techniques (single-cultured and co-cultured DnL1-1 and LTR-2) using an UPLC-QTOF-MS in an untargeted metabolomic approach. Principle components analysis (PCA) and partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA) supervised modelling revealed modifications of the metabolic profiles in fermentation liquors as a function of interactions between different strains. Compared with pure-cultivation of DnL1-1, 51 compounds were altered during the cocultivation, with unique and significant differences in the abundance of organic nitrogen compounds (e.g. carnitine, acylcarnitine 4:0, acylcarnitine 5:0, 3-dehydroxycarnitine and O-acetyl-L-carnitine) and trans-zeatin riboside. Nevertheless, compared with pure-cultivation of LTR-2, the abundance of 157 compounds, including amino acids, soluble sugars, organic acids, indoles and derivatives, nucleosides, and others, changed significantly in the cocultivation. Among them, the concentration of tryptophan, which is a precursor to indoleacetic acid, indoleacetic acid, aspartic acid, and L-glutamic acid increased while that of most soluble sugars decreased upon cocultivation. The fermentation filtrates of co-cultivation of LTR-2 and DnL1-1 showed significant promoting effects on germination and radicle length of wheat. A subsequent experiment demonstrated synergistic effects of differential metabolites caused by co-cultivation of DnL1-1 and LTR-2 on wheat germination. Comprehensive metabolic profiling may provide valuable information on the effects of DnL1-1 and LTR-2 on wheat growth.(AU)

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To understand the public's perceptions and preferences on the designed front-of-package warning labels of prepackaged food, and to evaluate and identify the effective warning label. METHODS: A total of 116 participants were recruited from six provinces(autonomous regions/municipalities) in China. Focus group discussions were conducted with four types of warning labels on prepackaged food. And the score of attitude on different warning labels were compared. RESULTS: There was no difference in the total score of the four warning labels. Total score of black shield label was higher in citizen participants and college education level participants than in their respective counterparts(P<0.05). Parents or primary caregiver of children under 16 years old gave higher scores to each labels than their respective counterparts(P<0.05). The black shield label was most likely to attract the attention of the respondents, most likely to influence the decision on eating and drinking, and most likely to have an unhealthy warning effect. The yellow hexagonal label was least likely to attract the attention of the respondents, least likely to affect the decision to eat and drink food, and least likely to have an unhealthy warning effect. CONCLUSION: Black shield warning label is the most effective.

RESUMO

As one of the major abiotic stresses, salinity can affect crop growth and plant productivity worldwide. The inoculation of rhizosphere or endophytic microorganisms can enhance plant tolerance to salt stresses, but the potential mechanism is not clear. In this study, Trichoderma harzianum ST02 was applied on sweet sorghum [Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench] in a field trial to investigate the effects on microbiome community and physiochemical properties in the rhizosphere soil. Compared with the non-inoculated control, Trichoderma inoculation significantly increased the stem yield, plant height, stem diameter, and total sugar content in stem by 35.52%, 32.68%, 32.09%, and 36.82%, respectively. In addition, Trichoderma inoculation improved the nutrient availability (e.g., N, P, and K) and organic matter in the rhizosphere soil and changed the bacterial community structure and function in both bulk and rhizosphere soil by particularly increasing the relative abundance of Actinobacter and N-cycling genes (nifH, archaeal and bacterial amoA). We proposed that T. harzianum ST02 could promote sweet sorghum growth under saline conditions by regulating available nutrients and the bacterial community in the rhizosphere soil.

RESUMO

The infection of soil-borne diseases has the potential to modify root exudation and the rhizosphere microbiome. However, the extent to which these modifications occur in various monocropping histories remains inadequately explored. This study sampled healthy and diseased American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius L.) plants under 1-4 years of monocropping and analyzed the phenolic acids composition by HPLC, microbiome structure by high-throughput sequencing technique, and the abundance of pathogens by quantitative PCR. First, the fungal pathogens of Fusarium solani and Ilyonectria destructans in the rhizosphere soil were more abundant in the diseased plants than the healthy plants. The healthy American ginseng plants exudated more phenolic acid, especially p-coumaric acid, compared to the diseased plants after 1-2 years of monocropping, while this difference gradually diminished with the increase in monocropping years. The pathogen abundance was influenced by the exudation of phenolic acids, e.g., total phenolic acids (r = -0.455), p-coumaric acid (r = -0.465), and salicylic acid (r = -0.417), and the further in vitro test confirmed that increased concentration of p-coumaric acid inhibited the mycelial growth of the isolated pathogens for root rot. The healthy plants had a higher diversity of rhizosphere bacterial and fungal microbiome than the diseased plants only after a long period of monocropping. Our study has revealed that the cropping history of American ginseng has altered the effect of pathogens infection on rhizosphere microbiota and root exudation.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To make a cost-benefit analysis on anemia intervention with iron-fortified soy sauce in 15-54 years old women. METHODS: The study was conducted in Deqing county, Zhejiang province in 2012-2013. A total 585 women as sampling size were estimated with statistical model and randomly selected by probability proportionate to size sampling. Hemoglobin were measured before intervention and after 15 months. The cost of the intervention project were collected with manpower, communication and other invest. The benefit was estimated with profiling model. RESULTS: After the intervention, the anemia prevalence of sampled women decreased from 31.1% to 21.9%(P<0.01). The major cost of the project was 156 400 RMB, and total benefits result ing from projects were 1 448 485 RMB. The cost-benefit ratio of the project is 1∶9.49. If investing one yuan can produce economic benefits of nearly 9.49 yuan, therefore, the intervention projectis worth to be scaling up. Sensitivity analysis showed the result of this study was stable. CONCLUSION: The intervention can significantly reduce the prevalence of anemia in women, and reduce the economic burden of the diseases. .

RESUMO

China is undergoing the nutrition transition that may explain partly the high prevalence of hypertension. We aimed to investigate the longitudinal association between dietary patterns and hypertension in Chinese adults over 28 years of follow-up. We used data collected in the China Health and Nutrition Survey from 1991 to 2018. Adults aged 18 years and above (n = 15,929) were included in the analysis, for whom questionnaires and anthropometric data were collected during at least two waves. Factor analysis was conducted to derive food patterns based on 18 foods or food groups. We constructed three-level mixed-effect linear regression models to estimate systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) in relation to quartiles of dietary pattern score and performed three-level mixed-effect logistic regression models to assess the risk of hypertension. Participants in the top quartile of the modern pattern had a decrease in SBP (ß = - 0.51; 95% CI -0.86, -0.16; P < 0.01) when adjusted for all potential confounders, whereas participants in the top quartile of the meat pattern had an increase in DBP (ß = 0.31; 95% CI 0.08, 0.53; P < 0.01). Participants in the highest quartile of the meat pattern were more likely to have hypertension (OR = 1.14; 95% CI 1.03, 1.24; P < 0.01). Adherence to the modern pattern characterized by high intake of fruits and dairy products was inversely associated with SBP, whereas the meat pattern was positively associated with DBP and the risk of hypertension. These findings may well have important public health implications.

RESUMO

The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness of intervention with Yingyangbao (YYB) on hemoglobin (Hb) and anemia status among infants and young children (IYC) aged 6-23 months (mo) through a large-scale Nutrition Improvement Program for Children in Poor Areas (NIPCPA) in China from 2015 to 2020. Five rounds of cross-sectional surveys were conducted using a stratified and multi-stage probability proportional to size sampling of IYC in 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Multivariable regression analyses were fitted to determine the effectiveness of the YYB intervention on Hb and anemia, respectively. A total of 36,325, 40,027, 43,831, 44,375 and 46,050 IYC aged 6-23 mo were included, and the prevalence of anemia was 29.7%, 26.9%, 24.1%, 21.2% and 18.1% in 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, respectively. Compared with the results in 2015, the Hb concentrations significantly improved and anemia prevalence significantly decreased among IYC in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 (p < 0.001). Regression analysis showed that higher YYB consumption was significantly associated with the increment in Hb concentration and reduction in anemia stratified by age group (p < 0.001). The most significant increment in Hb concentration of 2.189 mg/L and the most significant reduction in odds of anemia were observed among IYC aged 12-17 mo who consumed 270 to 359 sachets of YYB (OR: 0.671; 95% CI: 0.627, 0.719; p < 0.001). This study suggests that YYB intervention is a successful public health strategy for reducing the risk of anemia among IYC when delivered through a large-scale NIPCPA in China. It is necessary to continue to advance the program and increase the adherence of YYB.

RESUMO

Three new diterpenoids with an unusual carbon skeleton, pedilanins A-C (1-3), and nine new jatrophane diterpenoids, pedilanins D-L (4-12), along with five known ones (13-17), were isolated from Pedilanthus tithymaloides. Compounds 1-3 characterize an unprecedented tricyclo[10.3.0.02,9]pentadecane skeleton. Compounds 4-8 are rare examples of the jatrophanes bearing a cyclic hemiketal substructure. Their structures were determined by an extensive analysis of HRESIMS, NMR, quantum-chemical calculation, DP4+ probability, and X-ray crystallographic data. In the bioassay, compounds 1-12 dramatically reversed multidrug resistance in cancer cells with the fold-reversals ranging from 17.9 to 396.8 at the noncytotoxic concentration of 10 µM. The mechanism results indicated that compounds 2 and 3 inhibited the P-glycoprotein (Pgp) transporter function, thus reversing the drug resistance.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To select the nutrient-rich food(NRF) index applicable to the food characteristics of Chinese residents through population-based dietary quality validation. METHODS: Sixteen NRF indices were constructed based on the Chinese Food Composition Table and the Chinese Food Labelling Nutrient Reference Values, using 100 g as the base amount of food for calculation. The NRF indices were validated by the China Prime Diet Quality Score(CPDQS), a dietary quality assessment index, using food intake data collected from 14 068 adult residents in 15 provinces in 2018 under the China Health and Nutrition Survey. The CPDQS was used as the dependent variable and the dietary NRF index score was used as the independent variable. The multiple linear regression models were performed after adjusting the covariates and the NRF index with the largest coefficient of determination R~2 was used as the most appropriate index. RESULTS: Regression analysis showed that the R~2 of NRF8.2 index was the largest, which was 0.16. Dried legumes, fungi and algae, nuts, vegetables, eggs and aquatic products scored higher on the NRF8.2 index. The high scoring subgroups had higher average daily intakes of cereals and potatoes, vegetables, fruits, soybeans and nuts, dairy, eggs and aquatic products, as well as lower consumption of livestock and poultry meat, beverages, salt and cooking oil, compared to the low scoring subgroup on the Dietary NRF8.2 Index. In terms of nutrient intake, the medium and high NRF8.2 subgroups had relatively high intakes of energy, protein, vitamins and minerals and relatively low intakes of fat and sodium. CONCLUSION: The NRF8.2 index explains the maximum variation in CPDQS and is a relatively suitable NRF index for the Chinese population.

RESUMO

Microalgae are now widely applied in municipal (YH_3) and industrial sewage (YH_4) treatments. Through integrated omics analysis, we studied the similarities and differences at the molecular level between the two different types of sewage treatment processes. The most significantly enriched gene ontology (GO) terms in both types of sewage treatments were the ribosome, photosynthesis, and proteasome pathways. The results show that the pathways of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and differentially accumulated metabolites (DAMs) were enriched for photosynthesis, glyoxylate and dicarboxylate metabolism, and carbon fixation in photosynthetic organisms. Considering YH_3 vs. YH_4, the metabolism of citrate, sedoheptulose-7P, and succinate was significantly upregulated. In addition, the results showed that the pathways of DEGs and DAMs were enriched in terms of amino acid metabolism and carotenoid biosynthesis in YH_4 vs. YH_3. The metabolism of S-Adenosyl-L-homocysteine was significantly downregulated, 2-oxobutanoate was significantly upregulated and downregulated, and the metabolism of abscisic acid glucose ester (ABA-GE) was also significantly upregulated. Overall, the results of this paper will help to improve the basic knowledge of the molecular response of microalgae to sewage treatments, and help design a response strategy based on microalgae for complex, mixed sewage treatments.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: Angiogenesis is a key process of repairing tissue damage, and it is regulated by the delicate balance between anti-angiogenesis factors. In the present study, we investigate whether transcription factor cellular promoter 2 (TFCP2) is required for upstream binding protein 1 (UBP1)-mediated angiogenesis. METHODS: Levels of UBP1 and TFCP2 in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) are detected by quantitative polymerase chain reaction (q-PCR) and Western blotting (WB). Effects of UBP1 on angiogenesis and migration are detected by tube-like network formation on matrigel assay and scratch assay. The interaction between UBP1 and TFCP2 is predicted and verified by STRING and Co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP). RESULTS: Firstly, the UBP1 expression level was up-regulated in the stimuli of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in HUVECs, and the knockdown of UBP1 inhibited angiogenesis and migration of HUVECs. Then, UBP1 interacted with TFCP2. Besides, the TFCP2 expression level was up-regulated in VEGF-stimulated HUVECs. Furthermore, knockdown of TFCP2 inhibited angiogenesis and migration in VEGF-stimulated HUVECs, and down-regulation of UBP1 enhanced the inhibition. CONCLUSION: TFCP2 also plays a key role in UBP1 mediated angiogenesis of HUVECs stimulated by VEGF. These findings will provide a new theoretical basis for the treatment of angiogenic diseases.

RESUMO

Appropriate dietary patterns for preserving cognitive function in China remains unknown. This study explored the association between dietary pattern and cognitive function in the Chinese population. A total of 6308 adults aged 55 and above who participated in the China Health and Nutrition Survey at least two waves from 1997 to 2018 were selected. The dietary pattern was determined using the reduced rank regression method with responses regarding vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc, iron, copper, and selenium intakes. We used a three-level random coefficient model to evaluate the association. A "vegetable-pork" dietary pattern characterized by high intakes of Legume products, vegetables, fruits, nuts, pork, fish, and plant oil was identified. Compared to the first quartile (Q1) of dietary scores, the regression coefficients (p value) for the global cognitive score across Q2, Q3, and Q4 were 0.27 (p = 0.030), 0.45 (p < 0.001), and 0.50 (p < 0.001), respectively. The adjusted odds ratios (ORs) and the 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for poor cognition across Q2, Q3, and Q4 were 0.82 (0.73 to 0.93), 0.79 (0.69 to 0.91), and 0.74 (0.63 to 0.86), respectively. The relationship appeared to be stronger among people who were 65 years and older, women, people from the south, and smokers. Higher adherence to the "vegetable-pork" diet is associated with better cognitive function among Chinese elders.

RESUMO

Limited knowledge exists on trends in niacin consumption and the prevalence of inadequate intakes in China. Understanding trends and the spatial distribution of the prevalence of inadequate niacin intake is crucial to identifying high-risk areas and sub-populations. The dietary intakes of niacin between 1991 and 2018 were analyzed using the China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS) data. The estimated average requirement cut point was applied to estimate inadequacy. The geographic information system's ordinary kriging method was used to estimate the spatial distribution of the prevalence of inadequate niacin intakes. However, between 1991 and 2018, the prevalence of inadequate niacin intake increased from 13.00% to 28.40% in females and from 17.75% to 29.46% in males. Additionally, the geographically significant clusters of high and low prevalence were identified and remained stable over almost three decades. The high prevalence of insufficient niacin intake was more pronounced in Henan and Shandong over 27 years. Further, effective and tailored nutrition interventions are required to address inadequate niacin intake in China.

RESUMO

Mitophagy is a form of autophagy that plays a key role in maintaining the homeostasis of functional mitochondria in the cell. Viruses have evolved various strategies to manipulate mitophagy to escape host immune responses and promote virus replication. In this study, the nucleoprotein (NP) of H1N1 virus (PR8 strain) was identified as a regulator of mitophagy. We revealed that NP-mediated mitophagy leads to the degradation of the mitochondria-anchored protein MAVS, thereby blocking MAVS-mediated antiviral signaling and promoting virus replication. The NP-mediated mitophagy is dependent on the interaction of NP with MAVS and the cargo receptor TOLLIP. Moreover, Y313 of NP is a key residue for the MAVS-NP interaction and NP-mediated mitophagy. The NPY313F mutation significantly attenuates the virus-induced mitophagy and the virus replication in vitro and in vivo. Taken together, our findings uncover a novel mechanism by which the NP of influenza virus induces mitophagy to attenuate innate immunity.Abbreviations: ACTB: actin beta; ATG7: autophagy related 7; ATG12: autophagy related 12; CCCP: carbonyl cyanide 3-chlorophenyl hydrazone; co-IP: co-immunoprecipitation; COX4/COXIV: cytochrome c oxidase subunit 4; DAPI: 4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole, dihydrochloride; EID50: 50% egg infective dose; GAPDH: glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase; GFP: green fluorescent protein; HEK: human embryonic kidney; hpi: hours post-infection; IAV: influenza A virus; IFN: interferon; IP: immunoprecipitation; LAMP1: lysosomal associated membrane protein 1; MAP1LC3/LC3: microtubule associated protein 1 light chain 3; MAVS: mitochondrial antiviral signaling protein; Mdivi-1: mitochondrial division inhibitor 1; MLD50: 50% mouse lethal dose; MOI: multiplicity of infection; NBR1: NBR1 autophagy cargo receptor; NP: nucleoprotein; PB1: basic polymerase 1; RFP: red fluorescent protein; RIGI: RNA sensor RIG-I; RIGI-N: RIGI-CARD; SeV: Sendai virus; SQSTM1/p62: sequestosome 1; TIMM23: translocase of inner mitochondrial membrane 23; TOLLIP: toll interacting protein; TOMM20: translocase of outer mitochondrial membrane 20; TUBA: tubulin alpha; Vec: empty vector; vRNP: viral ribonucleoprotein.

Comprehensive metabolic profiling may provide valuable information on the effects of DnL1-1 and LTR-2 on wheat growth.
